50 Shades of Grey? No thanks. I'll take 50 Shades of Houston Bayou as painted by this author, Matt Zeve. I never thought I would be so stimulated by Bayous but I find myself wanting more. Hopefully, there will be a sequel. I must have a sequel. Soon.

I love illustrated editions of HP. I collect them for my daughter who is 9 and already a big fan of the books. This book is a good quality, great paper and simple but beautiful illustrations. It came packaged very good to prevent damages. I liked it a lot . Great edition for our collection.Don’t be a muggle and get it !

This was amazing. I love the art work in this. It is pricey (as per usual with Harry Potter stuff), but it read like a real wizard child's storybook. The same kind of way we have them. The art is a bit different than the other illustrated editions and I prefer that to this, but it is very childlike and skillfully done that I don't mind. I absolutely love what they're doing with the illustrated editions of these books!

My kids are reading Harry Potter with their dad, but sometimes their attention span is not enough for the longer chapters, and this is a nice companion to the full length stories. Just like the illustrated HP books, the kids love the artwork, though I am slightly disappointed that it’s a different artist from the main series. The book arrived in good shape, and seems to be well made, just like the other illustrated editions.

Really beautiful book and artwork. I ordered it as a Christmas gift for my 12 yr old. She saw it on display at the library as a “coming soon” book and was so excited. She loved this character in the series and is so happy he got his own book.

I love how these illustrated HP books have different artists and this one isn't a disappointment. They remind me of classical fairy tale illustrations. The commentary by Dumbledore just make it seem that much more realistic.

This book is absolutely stunning. The illustrations are lovely. This book is the new star of my Harry Potter book collection!

My kids are huge Harry Potter fans (and so am I). It is great to see the companion stories for the Potterworld especially with Dumbledore commentary. My kids have yet to tire of the stories at bedtime even after having read them many many times.

This book is bigger than expected with great illustrations. Suitable for an 8 year on reader of a higher grade level. Thank you for providing this great find as a Christmas gift. You will not be disappointed if your child likes Harry Potter and loves to read.

Personal Note by Author Kimberly Rae:    When I first had kids, if someone told me I should talk with my children at an early age about good touch/bad touch, and rules about what to do if an adult crossed the boundaries into inappropriate behavior, I'd have probably shrunk away and thought that was over-the-top paranoid. Besides, how would I bring up the topic without telling them way more than they needed to hear?    Now that I know that 90% of childhood sexual abuse cases occur with someone the child already knows, I don't assume that strangers are the only danger to my children, and if I keep them from suspicious people, they will be safe. Predators are good at getting adults and children to trust them, and they often target places where they gain access to lots of kids in authority-based environments (such as churches, summer camps, schools, etc.).    I write and train on human trafficking and over the years my research has brought me to what I believe is one of the most important and most overlooked aspects of trafficking - childhood sexual abuse. There is a huge, huge overlap between victims of childhood abuse and victims of childhood and adult exploitation. We might be able to shield the children we love from being targeted on the internet or in the mall, but the fact that child abuse frequently happens by someone the child knows (and often someone the entire family trusts) is terrifying.    Because of this, kids need to be taught when behavior crosses from appropriate and loving to inappropriate and abusive. However, like me, many adults are wary of broaching the topic, unsure of how to present helpful information without over-educating or scaring children. Others just don't know what to say.    I partly created this resource for myself. I have two children and would much rather talk comfortably over a coloring page than sit them down at the table and have a training session that will make us all nervous. I wanted something conservative parents would feel comfortable sharing with their children. I wanted something I could offer parents, teachers or advocates that would help victims talk about it and overcome, taking away vulnerability to further exploitation in the future.    I can't express how much I want childhood sexual abuse to stop. How important it is that children are empowered to know that when something is wrong, they have options and what those options are. To understand that sexual abuse is a crime and should be treated as such. Right now statistics say 1 in every 4 women and 1 in every 6 men experienced some form of childhood sexual abuse. I meet them often when I speak. Many have still never told. Wouldn't it be wonderful if, through resources like I AM SAFE, we could change that statistic for the next generation?Â

Although I respect some who have endorsed this book, and the intent of the author was probably good, I could not more strongly advise not to use this guide to Christian prophetic insight. It is simply steeped in occult definitions, and while there is much mention of the bible and some accurate interpretations, I discovered within just a few pages that it neglects scripture more than consults it. There is enough truth to make someone believe it is all accurate and I feel this book severely misleads people into some very dangerous areas. There is a significant imbalance between what God says things mean and what things mean in ancient mythology, sorcery, magic, etc. It's also very disturbing that the author knows more about pagan terminology than biblical symbology. I have studied biblical symbology for 12 years, interpreted over 40,000 dreams - also wrote a book on it and teach on the prophetic. My advice is a strong STAY AWAY. We don't study the false to understand the real. We do not have to study paganism to understand God's perspective on symbolic meanings.

I was very excited when I flipped through this book in my local Christian bookstore. I am a pastor and seminary professor and always looking to find good background information on the Bible. When I got this book, I was shocked at all the craziness within the pages!!This book is filled with errors.For example, under the section of "NIMROD" the author states; "Truly, this was a man prepared for the call on his life, which was to supply the children of Adam from Cain's lineage with an alternative culture and religion..."Nimrod lived after the flood. The entire lineage of Cain ALL DIED IN THE FLOOD!! Only Noah and his wife and kids survived. This is basic Bible 101.This is only one example of the errors in this book and there are hundreds!!She states that MELCHIZEDEK was "the priest of all creation, he officiated at the only Creator altar on the planet to propitiate the damage done by Lucifer's rebellion and the subsequent demonic host evicted from heaven to terrorize the earth."She states that Daniel was a prophet and the CHIEF OF THE MAGI in Babylon!She states that Jehovah stopped the use of CAVES OF DIVINATION because people were worshipping other gods beside Him.She states that Adam reigned over the earth for 70 years after his exile from Eden, then was dethroned by the serpent. (See SACRED NUMBERS)She teaches that God was not the actual agent of creation, nor the one who controls the destiny of nations because there are PROTOCRATIC forces and PROTOCRATIC AGENTS (aka- angels) who did and do this for Him.And the list goes on and on and on...Where is she getting this information??Looking at the single list of books she used to get her information, I was very troubled. Many sources were New Age and occultic in nature. These included:The Hebrew GoddessThe Dictionary of Classical Mythology, Religion, Literature, and ArtDictionary of SymbolsAlso... Jesus did not get an entry in this dictionary, nor is His name mentioned much in this book.For that matter Peter, Paul, and Grace are also missing.

I was asked to teach a class on prophecy, so I bought several books to help with my studies. This was a well written book that provided other perspectives to assist me with teaching. The author knows the subject and did a fine job of imparting the knowledge and experiences of his life path.

I've only had it a couple of weeks, but so far it has not been helpful because everything I look up seems to give me the occult meanings and history instead possible biblical meanings. I can appreciate the research that went into the book, but I would have preferred a more positive approach and help in interpreting my dreams and visions - I have no occult/witchcraft background, so this book doesn't apply to me. Maybe it will in the future if I start interpreting other people's dreams who have that kind of background.

I purchased this book a few months ago and it has helped me maybe once. I don't like it at all. There has to be a better resource out there. It doesn't have as many basic words as I thought it would. Plus the explanations don't really tell me anything to decipher my dreams. Wish I could return it, because I would!

This book is so detailed. I thought it was going to be a little pocket dictionary with a few words and definitions and explanations but was I wrong! This book is thick and it has every definition of every word that relates to the prophetic including people, places, and times of events.

This is probably my favorite dream/vision book. Besides being helpful with prophetic dreams, it's just plain good information about many different terms that we come across as ministers.

It primarily featured Yamas as the go-to counter terror (CT) direct action (DA) unit of the IDF, so I have to say I felt a little slighted there, but it did give credence to Duvdevan and a few other units named. A friend of mine from my unit first turned me on to the book after finding it on Amazon. At first I was skeptical, having served in the IDF in one of these units. After performing in these capacities, my reference point was a little different than the average reader of this book. I honestly I thought this was going to be another political science 10,000 foot view of the IDF counter terror policy and targeted assassinations. I was wrong. This book was an extremely detailed account of ground level gunfights we participated in over the last 25 years. This book was motivating and inspiring.The IDF is a tight-knit organization and people know each other. There are living legends and characters that make names for themselves in the field and then go on to be great leaders of generations of warriors to come. That is how you are judged in the IDF, by your work in the field, like Sparta. I was amazed at how the author got access to information that was at one point coveted as top secret tradecraft and had in-depth accounts of missions. He clearly had personal knowledge and friendships within the IDF and police.Some of his accounts were so detailed I was able to draw from my experience and picture the events taking place as if I was there. Some of the mission profiles he describes in the book took place during my tenure and I knew of the mission even though it was our sister unit Yamas and not us (like the Itamar attack). Katz does a great job of telling the story of the three Yamas units in their geographic locations, founding, and mission sets.Duvdevan, Yamas, and Yamam are the three units spoken about in the book, but only Yamas is given a detailed account of characters and missions. While these units are very similar, there are some differences worth noting. Most obviously, Duvdevan is part of the IDF while the other two are part of the police (although the IDF and police can operate in some cases interchangeably). The Yamam is the national hostage rescue unit of Israel and is comprised of a small group of men who are drafted specifically to that unit after service in a unit like Yamas or Duvdevan or other front line combat. The Yamam is indisputably the most selective unit in Israel, has the hardest selection, and holds its members to the highest standards. Yamas is a unit to which one can get selected and serve in their first three years of service. There are three Yamas branches covering different geographies of Israel. This makes for mastery of operational areas. Yamas has a limited mission set of counter terror and direct action almost exclusively, while Duvdevan can perform a wider variety of missions and has a much more generous budget than the two police units. Training in the three units is very similar, so there are some missions in which each unit could perform almost equally and some in which one unit will have an advantage, like hostage rescue, for example, or undercover work in Gaza. The book details much of this and made me appreciate the operational tempo of the Yamas when compared to other units internationally and the experience that can be gained in such a short period of service.What most don’t know is that one’s military service experience in the IDF is highly dependent on the political climate. Up until 2008 these units along with many others not mentioned in the book gained a lot of operational experience with back-to-back missions and constant objectives. Since that period there has been a period of calm in which a mission only the Yamam would get today, every Palsar was participating in 6 years ago. When the next wave of violence comes, the new generation will have plenty of work to do.I highly recommend this book to anyone thinking of joining the IDF or anyone wanting to understand the type of warrior the IDF produces. This book did a great job of demystifying some aspects of IDF CT/DA units. Gunfighters on the highest level.

Its undercover operations, similar in some ways to the IDF's Duvdevan unit,are ambitious, ballsy, and are often launched with minimal backup into areas controlled by deadly terrorist groups such as Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Al Asqa Martyrs Brigade. The book is focused on each of the three Yamas units located in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza, and provides insight into their history, development, and their most important operations focusing on the hunt for high value terrorist targets and the suicide bomber cells they control during the late 80s, 90s and the second intifada from 2000 to 2008. The book also indirectly helps to pinpoint how Israel uses its top tier counter terrorism units. Such prestigious units as the IDF's Sayeret Matkal, Sayeret Duvdevan, Shayetet (flotilla) 13, recon units Maglan and Egoz, as well as the Border Guards Yamam are all described as taking part in an unprecedented level of counter terrorism operations with each unit competing for assignments. The Yamas is also shown to have a very close working relationship with Israel domestic intelligence agency, The Shin Bet, whose remarkable intelligence capabilities provide the glue for which the house of Israeli counter terrorism is built and is an organization that is certainly more than worthy of a novel chronicling its own achievements. My only and minimal criticism is that the novel is clearly biased to the Israeli point of view which is to be accepted from an author who has written so much about count terrorism and Israel. Overall the book is fantastic, and includes much more nail biting accounts of action than other more academic works, or even thriller novels. The Yamas and Israeli special forces in general are clearly some of the best in the world at what they do, and The United States and their allies could learn much about counter terrorism and undercover operations from their Israeli counterparts. Having studied the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in college this book offers remarkably insight into how Israel deals with terrorism by going beyond its security wall to preemptively engage terrorist targets. I highly recommend this work for anyone studying counter terrorism, special operations, modern Israel, and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
