I have just obtained my book a few days ago. The book has 5 sections with 38+ chapters that are on an e-book format. As a user of this book ,i think it is misleading for the reader. Chapters like bronchial artery embolization, materials and methods in angiography as well as other sections are important parts of our daily interventional life but are not in the hard copy. Having to get online to refer to these parts is plain ridiculous. I noticed a lot of 5 star reviews but this new edition seems flawed. The author comes highly recommended and i think the substance is great. But if the responsible party chooses to save cost after having the consumer buy the book at full price is just plain wrong. I suggest other users have a look at their books in this 5th edition and see if they are facing the same problem. I feel cheated and i hope Amazon could forward this review to the necessary parties for an explanation. I also suggest that Amazon would please inform buyers regarding the e-chapters policy. Thank you.
Bought this book the other month, the chapters that exist are excellent (5 stars!!!). BUT, my book ends at page 613 yet the index states fallopian tube recanalization can be found on pages 742-745 and GU system on page 879? Jumped back here to read product details and saw that the book has 776 pages? Doesn't take a math major to see the numbers don't add up. Incredibly misleading, especially after paying the price I did. I probably would've paid more to get all the pages if that were an option, the book is that good. So just know, you will not be getting all of the material in hard copy form. Why they don't make this clear is unclear.
I got this book for my IR away rotation and I highly recommend it! Focus on the indications/contraindications and the complications of the procedure, it seems like that's what they expected medical students to know. They also offer an e-book version which was a great option as well.Get this book lol
This is a great book however, the print is impossibly small and much of the content is online. Content wise, it’s excellent. Ease of reading and accessing the added material reduces it by a star.
Most of the book has an e-book component which I was not aware of but has been very helpful while at work so I can access it on my phone. This book was recommended to me by all the Interventional Radiology doctors I work with and so far has been very helpful.
Good but I have been looking at the online version as I find the print in the book to be rather small, and I can also use my phone to view it.
